Pitcher 8th in order

Don't really see the point in this myself. Especially in DD, everybody's bench is stacked with really good hitters to pinch hit. I usually let my pitcher bat once and then pinch hit for him the the next time up. I might even take him out the first time up if there are runners in scoring position.

I only did it when I had Ozzie Smith in the lineup.

I notice the game makes it near impossible to bunt two times in a row, and Ozzie really can't hit at all. If you bunt for a hit with Ozzie in the 8 hole, then the pitcher is up and it's tough to bunt again since they seem to foul it off, and it's a free out. I switched Ozzie to 9 so he could occasionally bunt for a hit and have the top of the order up after him.

Other than that reason, I don't see the point.
