    Re: OF

Gomez for speed and defense, Jones for offense.

It just depends on what your team needs.

Gomez is one of those guys who's pretty much guaranteed to steal second and third if he ever gets on base.

Gomez was absolutely terrible for me. Yes he has speed but Adam
Jones is way more consistent at the plate

I remember Adam Jones when he was with Seattle.

Eric Bedard for Adam Jones, and 4 other prospects....what a lopsided trade.

Adam Jones without a doubt. He has 90+ fielding, an 80+ arm, and tears the cover off the ball. Jones is my best OF. He is the only OF that can consistently throw people at trying to tag or advance. He has an absolute cannon for an arm. He is hitting .342 26 HR 73 RBI, and hitting .423 w/RISP, in 403 AB's. Is is cemented into my #3 spot. He is very Clutch too. He has hit a couple walk off HR's. I don't notice a problem with speed in the OF, because of his reaction. Always gets a good jump on the ball. He isn't the best base runner, and he wont beat out an infield single. I start him over Lofton, and Gomez.

I like Gomez an ex met lol but i cant hit with him im batting .180 just cant get anything with him but he can launch a couple bombs plays excellent defense usually tracks everything down with no problem, but i dont know if i would recommend him.

              Re: OF

Get Brantley, finish collection, get Lofton. Then platoon Lofton and Jones.

Use Brantley in LF/RF vs RHP.

But pertaining to the two in the OP, it completely depends on your playing style. Do you like to use how easy it is to steal in the game to your advantage? Than Gomez is good for that while still providing solid offense and defense. Do you prefer going base to base and using extra base hits to score runs? than Jones would work better for you.

I don't like to steal to much this year, feels a bit cheesy to do it every time someone fast is on 1st or 2nd, but it is a viable strategy this year since they made it quite easy to steal bases by upping the speed on fast players.

The other option is to use both, one in RF/LF. If they have it as a 2nd position they only take a 20% ratings hit.

You don't need Brantley anymore to unlock Lofton, since Monday's roster update.

I wasn't really suggesting, more recounting what I did when I faced a similar decision.

                      Nope.

Lofton costs about 5K to get now after you have all the Indians minus Kluber and Brantley.

The prices on all the common Indians cards have risen a lot since Monday.

I like Lofton, but man does he have a noodle for an arm. I swap him and Brantley out for fun. Lofton is hitting .400 1HR 9 RBI .429 RISP in 45 AB's. He has only dropped 1 fly ball so far. His arm is sooooo bad though. He can barely hit cut offs. If defense and baserunning exploits weren't issues. Lofton would be great.
