CRAIG. KIMBREL.

Dude is a monster. Hasnt allowed a hit yet. Only a few walks because his stuff is too nasty to handle sometimes.

But seriously, I would go after The Kimbrel if I needed a closer.

Re: Pitchers back up?

I use a combo of Doolittle (0.00 era over 12 innings so far) and rosenthal (0.60 era over 30 innings)

Re: Pitchers back up?

I'm afraid to try Rosenthal because of his low bb/9.

Re: Pitchers back up?

Aside from the usual suspects, Charlie Furbush is incredible. Great lefty, disgusting curve and slider. I've given up maybe two runs in close to fifty games with him.

All the others are hit or miss with me. Either I'm dominant or I can't get an out. I have had wade Davis, Andrew Miller, betances, Robertson, street, and britton and Furbush out preformed all them to the point where I've made him my closer.

Furbush is probably one of the best relievers in this game that's overlooked sometimes. I have him in my pen and has a sub 2 era (even though he just gave up a wall scraping solo in the 10th to tie a game I just played, still won it though) but that's his weekness IMO. He is good in middle innings for me but those high pressure spots if I need a lefty I'm bringing in Doolittle or chapman first.
