I have yet to face him honestly and once you get into the 1700+ range you almost never see them. I've pulled niekro from my rotation bc he gets smashed hard by good players. Niekro and any kballer for that matter is only effective against players that are very swing happy. Niekro for me is 5-5 with a 3.7 era. Not a bad era but that's bc he either dominated or got smashed early in games and had to pull him. Imo kballers aren't worth it against higher rated players.

Niekro is the most dangerous pitcher in the game if you know how to use him. Most people don't though.

Me personally I'd rather have someone who throws gas. Most of my pitching staff have live arms.

Just crushed Gamboa for 5 runs in the first three innings on 11 hits. Easy W, then next game get a lag cheeser...

But it's one pitcher.....and it's a random pitcher selection. Gotta just try and take tons of pitches and hope they make a few high knuckle-ball mistakes high in the zone.

He made his debut for me yesterday. Went 7 strong giving up 2 runs 5 K's...scattered 9 hits.

He is a good pitcher for a change of pace. Everyone else in my rotation are live arm guys.

I have Eckersley as my closer, but in games where Niekro is going for me I switch to Chapman. After 7-8 innings of flailing at 68 MPH knuckleballs, that 100 MPH fastball of Chapman's really looks like it's about 150 MPH!
