Edwin encarnocion and Jose Bautista

These are the best players on my team, and combined they cost about 8k or something like that. They have outperformed (hitting wise) every person on my team, including Ted Williams and my created guy. Mind you, these stats were mostly against elite pitchers and cheese players (1750 ish rank). Highly recommend to try these dudes out, well worth it. IMO, encarnocion is the best 1st baseman in DD

34 homers in 76 games Sheeesh! I've barely cracked 15 homers. Then again my players aren't really Outrages power hitters.

Re: Edwin encarnocion and Jose Bautista

I just picked up Encarnacion to flip, may have to pick up an extra to have another right handed power hitter that can replace Rizzo against LHP

It's crazy bc he homers every game it seems, and the for some reason his bat has like a trampoline effect on it. As with Bautista, his swing is so fluid it's pretty to see. He's now hitting 376 on 133 ABs with 16 homers lol

I can vouch for Bautista. He leads my team in homers. Guy is a monster.

I've also used Edcarn, although I had trouble with his meh contact and vision. When he made good contact with the ball though, it was gone. I got rid of him because I prefer left handed first basemen to stop people from just stealing all day long.

Hey topic creator, what hitting settings are you using?

Re: Edwin encarnocion and Jose Bautista

I don't know how you do it.

Since switching to zone I have become a very good hitter, but I can forget ever hitting .280+ with a right handed batter, and even when I do hit well with one, I have zero power.

You have zero time to react to the high-inside heat, and then focusing on that pitch makes it so you can't hit ANY pitch. With lefties I have enough time to belt that heat, and in turn, I belt just about everything else too.

My lineup is always like L/L/S/L/S/L/L/S/P. I just can't hit well enough with righties.

The only people I ever see hitting .300+ with righties are the really, REALLY good players. Like the guys in the top-10 like the T-Safari dude, King_Flow, and such.
