Scherzer

So, I had a few extra stubs today (sold a couple FA's). I bought Max Scherzer. I like Tanaka so I figured Scherzer would be similar, but better. First game 5 2/3 11 hits, 5 runs, 2 hr's, 5 k's. Second game 7 1/3 ip, 6 runs, 13 hits, 1 hr 6 k's. I am pretty disappointed. The first game I though....ok, I need to get use too him. Then I realized hiscontrol is pretty bad. Leaves his pitches in the zone to often. I was surprised that I was able to use him back to back. Usually it take a few days before I can use a new pitcher.
Maybe its a fluke, and he is a slow starter? Or maybe I should sell, and get Kershaw?

By far my best starter, 20-5, and I'm only 35+ games over .500 to put that in perspective. And one if those losses i was forfeited for time.

3-0 21 pitches 0 era like 30 k's. Dude is nasty

I had a hard time with his pitching motion and control was definitely an issue, I prefer Kershaw over him anyday

I can tear it up with Archer, Tanaka, Fernandez, Neikro, but Scherzer not so much. I expected his Slider to be better. He needs a Cutter for a good 2 strike pitch.

in 11 games, I'm 8-0 with a 1.59 ERA, and eighty-something Ks in 65 innings. I rarely use his slider though.

Both his fast balls can be wicked

I haven't used him since the update but I've thrown two perfect games with him. I've only thrown a no hitter with one other pitcher(neikro) I thought Kershaw would be better but I think scherzer is the best pitcher in the game.
