What's going on under the hood of this game?

So some stats are really easy to figure out but this is not about that. I have 3 things that I'm curious about.

1. What do vision and discipline do?

2. Each player has a unique stance and animation. Does this affect timing? Like does each player have its own bat speed? Can one player stay back on a ball longer than another player and produce the same results?

3. With the above bat speed question, does power, normal, and contact swings affect said speed or do they just affects the PCI. I would think it would have to affect the speed of your swing as it's harder to get check swings with a power swing.

I'm just thinking why certain people have easier times with certain players than others. If bat speed is something that's under the hood of this game, I wish we could have visual representation of this stat. I want to know why I'm dominating with CarGo right now. Why it feels like I'm going to get a hit every time with him. It's just weird. I want to know why I'm batting .200 with Brett with his 97 contact rating.

Vision effects PCI size - the ability to make contact with the ball. Discipline effects your ability to check your swing. I've never noticed stance effecting my timing or anything, but people will say it does. I don't know. I beleive that power swings do take longer to get through the zone, that's just based on my own experiences though.
