Captain vs Market prices

I played homerun derby and did pitching practice. I checked the captain screen and it shows I picked Ortiz as my captain(allegedly). As in I don't remember doing this but whatever, it isn't that important. and I am at 5XP with him. Small sample a few hours in but I did notice a difference.


Geritt Cole market: 12K stubs
Geritt Cole captain: 1257 stubs

I believe in the captain section it is tickets not stubs. There is a difference

Yep, tickets in the captains' markets. Can't be purchased, have to be earned from completing the captains' missions.

I'm pretty sure it was stubs. Cole was locked with 6 days left. What was unlocked was pack of cards with Ortiz on it. It said 62 days on the timer and the number 2500 below it. When I clicked on it, it said do you want to buy for 2500 stubs. The other was a unlocked card of TJ McFarland. The timer said 1 hour 10 minutes and the number 37 under it. When I clicked on that, it said do you want to buy for 37 stubs. I didn't do either but I was wondering what others have seen.

I forgot....The pack is stubs, the individual cards are tickets.

I tried out one of the packs, best pull I got was an 80 silver. Don't think I'm going to attempt them again.

I got the digital deluxe and the best I got was Bautista & Marte. I also got a few throwback cards or whatever they are calling them. I was able to complete the 10 & 25 equipment missions as well. You get XP and stubs with each completion.

Each captains first box shows a captain and a card pack and they are available to purchase for Stubs, 2,500 to be exact.

Is this just a way to purchase the other captain rookie cards?

It gives you players that fits the requirements for the current captain challenge.
