They seem to be. I just played a game with players from one team to unlock a card and they counted for me.

I noticed the other day the innings didn't add up in a 9-inning game against the CPU which sucked because I played two games. Should have been 162 innings total.. but it was nothing. I think they only count in Conquest mode.
