Diamond Plan

Hey all,

new to DD this year and pulled my first diamond last night in Nolan Aranedo!

At first I was excited to see my first diamond pull (out of the last months players pack), but now the reality of the situation is I have no idea what my next move is.

So, I don't (or at least have yet to) play online because of lag issues, but I figured my best bet is to plug him in until I finish up conquest. After that I plan on working on innings or historic hitters next, so he would be more expendable.

I don't know how volatile players are once they reach diamond so I am unsure whether i should just sell now and maybe grab some high gold diamond prospects instead, or keep him and see if he continues to rise or...

Your suggestions are most welcome!

Re: Diamond Plan

Well, Nolan had a big week a couple weeks back and his overall actually went up from a 93 to a 96, I believe. He plays in a bonafide hitters park, is young, and has a spotless track record.

I would be stunned if Nolan drops out of diamond status this year, but as far as players go, he's one of the more coveted players out there. Last I checked he was going for 60k, which is a good haul.

It's really up to you. Nolan's stock probably won't fall very far this year, but if you sold him, you could certainly buy 4-6 stellar gold investments and watch them grow into diamond players themselves.

Personally, I'd sell him and buy Carlos Correa, Jose Quintana, Robby Cano/Kris Bryant, Joc Peterson and maybe like a Taijuan Walker and watch them grow.

Re: Diamond Plan

I have him on my team and completed the Rockies set. I also pulled him out of a pack so I was psyched. I was gonna sell him but after playing a few games with him I decided to finish the set instead. He is probably the best live series 3rd baseman you can have. You can get a good amount of stubs from him or you can lock down your 3rd base position and the middle of your lineup.
