I do wish they would add some kind of reward system for Conquest, after it's been completed once. Even something small like a standard pack upon completion would give some additional incentive.
Isn't that where you get 10 packs and some XP, or am I thinking of a different reward?

I'm in the minority that don't grind innings. I just play regularly. I did go after Ichiro and considered going after Eddie Murray but didn't want to go through that again. If I decide to go after FB Wagner I'll probably try to land Altuve and then use him in regular DD head to head games.

1. Turn on MLB TV. (Or sign up)
2. Find a friend. (I have found someone here)
3. You and said friend enter a game and enable quick counts.
4. Set up bunt defense on both sides. Always try to bunt and get out as quick as possible if it's a count with less than 2 strikes. If there is 2 strikes, just take the strikeout to make the innings go by faster.
5. The away team is the one that has to win so both teams get 81 instead of 72 innings earned. I usually just let the first batter that doesn't have an 0-2 count bunt and go home to get it over with, or the fastest guy on the team so he gets around faster.
6. Repeat steps 1-5

This is an incredibly boring process but it cuts the time down in half. You guys won't reap after game rewards, but if you're determined to get a player, this is the fastest way. Each game takes about 15 minutes. This is why step 1 is critical, MLB TV makes the time pass!

There are rewards for conquering each team's stronghold and for conquering the entire map for the first time you complete the Conquest, but no more rewards for any subsequent rounds. Of course, you still get post-game players/items.

I think it's a fun mode, they just need to add some small reward for every conquest.

Agreed...It has its advantages as well with free games each month...For the most part, they can be less than stellar, but last month was NBA 2k16, free for PS+ members...

Re: What is your method for grinding innings?

Life is too short for actual inning grinding imo, it's just no fun at all and I can't see the point. Instead I just only use players for teams I've not completed yet, then try and make the best possible team. If I decide to aim for a specific team or two then I'll try and get as many of their better players into a good team as possible, but I don't use any player who isn't good enough to use in any game mode on any difficulty.

At the moment I'm using a mainly Marlins team, with White Sox on the corner infield and catcher positions. It's a great team that is easily competitive in any game mode I want to play. (Gordon, Yellich, FB Hanley, Abreu, FB Pierzinski, Stanton, Ozuna, Frazier)

Obviously this tactic is a lot easier if you have a lot of the players like I do, otherwise it would be tough to get too many usable players from each team. I think I now only have a handful of teams left to do.
