Player Spotlight, is it dead?

It seems like they haven't added player spotlight challenges since the Breakout programs. I wonder why they stopped making them? They were pretty interesting short term challenges to go for. They promoted lineup diversity and a few of them had pack rewards, which was nice. If it wasn't for the challenge, I'd almost never use the 94 Eric Thames card I have.

It also seems like player epics are dead as well, not making any new ones since launch.
