Mine have just been rewards from completing missions. I got 93 OVR Tom Seaver for getting 100 hits with diamond starter Brock Holt. 93 Curtis Granderson for completing the AL challenges in Conquest Mode and 91 CC Sabathia/91 Catfish Hunter for completing missions as well. Sabathia was for 40 strikeouts with LHP and I don't remember off the top of my head which mission gave me Catfish.

IIRC Catfish was Breakout wins.

Ive yet to even use CC after a week of him in my rotation lol.

My only Diamond hitter is 93Granderson. Just got him last night. First pitch first swing HR.

I still am not playing online. Ive been going down the list of team epic Is. Havent started any of the IIIs yet.

82 Kenny Lofton has been a CLUTCH lead-off guy for me. Phillies collection is cheapest to complete

JD Martinez always seems to deliver. Hitting .450 in 150+ ABs with tons of HRs and doubles.

Melky Cabrera. Great fielder. Another one of these guys that runs like lightning in the field, but basically jogs around the bases. Clutch hitter for me. Singles and doubles galore.

Again, Im playing on Rookie, so use that as reference.
