I was just trying to take CIN in my Conquest game. I ended up losing 2-1...in 14 innings...on an RBI bloop single...by Raisel Iglesias.

I hate so much that you aren't allowed to use your SP as subs. It's asinine that, in a 3-inning game, I go 14 innings and lose because I'm running my reliever about 15 pitches with 0 Energy. It's not a reasonable setup to lock us out of using those pitchers. I was actually going to try pinch hitting for Cishek in the next inning, if I could make it through, with one of my SP.

Holy crap, that was a grind of anger and disappointment. I spent probably 90 minutes playing, only to get screwed by such a dumb mechanic (in addition to 2 plays where Mesoraco blocked a pitch and either warped to the ball and threw me out or had the ball warp into his hand to do it).

Anyone else have any particularly stressful, lengthy, or crazy games? 46 at-bats, 18 Ks, 0 BB by my hitters. That means 28 balls in play, 5 hits. Solid BABIP of .179, wow. 50 AB, 16 Ks, 3 BB for CIN. 31 balls in play, 10 hits, .323 BABIP. Never stood a chance.

Oh, and did I mention that I got the queue bug at the end of the game?

I play ridiculous games against the CPU all the time.. it seems that if you get a lead of 2 or less they always find a way to tie it. It's especially bad in stronghold games, CPU constantly does stuff like hit first pitch homers off your closer with pinch hitters to tie the game. I played 2 CPU games against the reds yesterday, and in both games mesoraco hit a game tying pinch hit homer.

I have that from time to time as well, yeah. It's really frustrating. However, I also have had quite a few extra inning experiences with them, often at 0-0. I guess it's not that surprising on Veteran, since I can outpitch hem and can't hit consistently well (plus defenders on the infield are stupidly rangey and accurate). I've been into the 8th a few other times, but I don't think I had ever gotten beyond 9 until last night.

In 16, you could pinch hit with a starting pitcher and the keep him in the game. You can switch players at a point and use a pitcher to do that too.

You're right though, we should be allowed to use them but I think only after all relief pitchers are gone

I tried doing a sub, that wasn't an option. I could try to pinch hit, but I wanted to use my newly added RP first. I was going to pinch hit the next inning, but got screwed first.

Holy crackers I'm stressed out. Just got out of this game for Milwaukee's stronghold. I got so comfortable playing on Rookie for the team epic challenges and taking out the Twins(So much so that I stacked 10m more fans against the stronghold hoping for rookie) that Veteran was kicking my butt! Eickhoff, Melancon, and Strickland all went 3 innings while Capps went 2 and Rivero pitched the final frame.

I've kept these in check better. I had one last night where I decided to do a quick game before class. It ended up taking too long and I had to leave the thing running. Came back, PS4 had gone to sleep. Luckily, the game was suspended when I brought it back up. I ended up losing in 8 on a suicide squeeze with the bases loaded, thanks to the stingy strike zone. The umps are squeezing me all the dang time!

In 16, you could pinch hit with a starting pitcher and the keep him in the game. You can switch players at a point and use a pitcher to do that too.

Heads-up on this, I tried it. I pinch hit for Cishek with Iwakuma. The game gives the bench SPs 0 Energy because they're idiots. So, I had Iwakuma come in with 0 energy and get an out, then give up a double. Bailed him out with my remaining RP (then lost the game on a WOHR). So, you CAN'T sub in SPs as pinch hitters and expect to use them. Screw you if you go into a really long Conquest game, enjoy getting hosed.

I have since added Chris Devenski to my bullpen because of his great Stamina. Haven't needed it, but I'm being proactive in that respect (not getting screwed again before I address it).

If you are playing on rookie or veteran, you should have no probl3m pitching with anyone to get them innings. I've pitched lots of tired pitchers, even the pitchers with zero energy and still get outs. Different online however, you give up bombs

I mix between Veteran and All-Star. I got the first out with Iwakuma, but then got one smoked into left center for a double and pulled him.

I had a great game last night against the cpu. I've been going after the team epics that are pretty easy. Played against the White Sox on rookie & cranked 10 home runs as a team. I hit 3 with Zobrist, 2 from the left & 1 from the right. Cargo also had 2 bombs. I think I lead off 3 different innings with a homer. After scoring 9 runs in one inning, the next half Harold talked about me basically docking them in the mouth. Lol

Epic DD Games

Thursday night I played an 18 ranked game that I ended up winning 2-1. Here's how it went down. I was the road team & in the first inning I hit a solo home run to take a 1-0 lead. I generally struggle on offense & I am great pitching & defensively. This game stuck to that theme. I struggled to get runners on throughout the game. I was no hitting the guy until the 8th inning he hit a game tying home run. In the bottom of the 9th I walked a batter & robbed a home run with rookie Griffey. In extra innings I really struggled with driving in runners. I would get two guys on, then get impatient & swing at bad pitches. I ended up running out of relievers & bench players. I ended up having to use Jose Quintana as a pinch hitter in the 18th. I have hit really well with him before & ended up doubling. I drove him in with my lead off hitter & used him to get the save in the bottom half of the inning. Longest game of any kind I've played on The Show.

Yeesh, that's definitely a long one. I haven't gotten too late into games. I've gotten competent enough at hitting in the past few days. I don't know if I've even reached 6 in Conquest lately, even though 8+ was almost a daily occurrence before (like you, my pitching's as good as my offense is bad).

Epic DD Games

Last night Toronto took me into the 13th in a conquest game before Bautista hit a HR to take the game 2-1. Was down to my final reliever in his final inning of relief (Seigrest). Tyler Lyons managed to keep me in it for 4+ innings in relief before turning the final 2 innings over to Seigrest.

I have never had these problems and don't play on any level lower then all star. Yesterday played a game on legend and only gave up 1 run in six innings. I normally beat the computer with homers.
