Anyone have any advice on how to steal bases in getting thrown out all the time

In online games or in general?

This year, it's more about reading the pitcher in offline games. So you take your one lead-off step if you want/can, then really try to time the CPU and take off sometimes even before he actually throws (especially important for going 2nd to 3rd with non-elite stealers)

In online games, I mean it's generally easier than offline. Just pick the pitch and try to avoid going on pitchouts.

My trick was to get Jarrod Dyson and sub him in whenever I want to steal

Offline you can essentially steal at will and never be thrown out. Just tap the steal button, if you get a bad jump send him back immediately or try to execute a hit and run.
