    Griffey Jr completion

I am having the hardest time completing the 1 walk, 1 run, and 1 double challenge. I can get a walk and a run, or a double and a walk. I can get all combinations of two but I cannot get all three. Do you guys have any tips? Maybe places to play that will help with doubles, or if I should step up difficulty. I find I get more walks in higher difficulty (easy mode seems to throw strikes more than balls). It is just frustrating the crap out of me. This shouldn't be this hard but I am having 0 luck.

My honest suggestion: Forget about it.

Just play the game. Keep him in the lineup, he is a good leadoff hitter, that way you'll get an extra at bat with him. And play. It will come eventually.
This way not only are you getting aggravated and enjoying the game less, but you're also putting too much pressure on yourself to do very specific actions in certain situations.

By the time you defeat all 30 teams twice on Rookie and thrice on Veteran, you'll probably simply stumble into the achievement without noticing. It's 150 games at least. It will happen.

This is true. I do find myself refusing to swing after I get a double in hopes I can get my walk and purposely trying to foul balls off. I just need to sit back and let it come to me.

The all nighter, getting pissed tactic is not working for me lol

I almost pulled this off just now. BB in my first PA of the game, then hit one to left-center. Thought it'd be the double, ended up being a HR. Made even worse that the next pitch was a line drive double to the same place with Wright, essentially saying I could have had the mission done, had I not been so good as to hit a HR.

I did it at the polo grounds and i played him in front of the pitcher. If there is a man on second and third with less than 2 outs they may intentionally walk you. It is still hard and i got lucky

I did the rookie debut mission yesterday!! I decided to get the double as soon as I could and just hope I got a walk. Pretty easy to score the run and I got a double in my first at bat and then scored a run so I just took as many pitches as I could for my next at bats until I had 2 strikes and then used contact swing for any pitches definitely in the zone hoping to foul off to get another pitch. I ended up getting 2 singles in my next 2 at bats and finally on my fourth at bat, I walked on 5 pitches. When the game was over, I waited a minimum of 30 seconds on each screen before pressing x like I always do and it went through. I did this on rookie against the A's in case you were wondering. I am beating all teams twice to unlock their next team epic mission. Try my strategy and I am sure you will be able to do it and have it count.

I think I got the walk before the double so when I hit a gapper later in the game I made sure I just stopped at second even though with his speed I may have been able to get a triple.

other then the XP I am not sure why I bother much as I know I won't complete the entire chain of missions.

Last night in my first game I started off with a double and then was driven in by the next batter. I ended up have 5 more at bats....two of them I went 3-2 counts and ended up singling on both as I was trying to foul off the pitches. Other than getting into deep counts I am just playing it like normal and if it comes it comes but I am not just going to try for it...however, if 3 balls come along then I will try for a walk but that is not too different than real life anyway. Get the walk if you don't get a pitch you like.

Anyone tried trying to countdown a match with a friend, and then both of you let each other complete missions?

I haven't tried but I heard that play vs friends does not allow stats to go towards missions/programs. Just for the reason you stated above. Too many people took advantage of it and were going through programs that should take months in just a few games.

Weve talked about it, then doing some type of ready/unready flash on the pitcher screen so we know we matched up together. Havent actually done it yet.

Is there a reddit on how to do this? I just unlocked the 84 Griffey where I need to get 10 hr and 22 rbi in 30 ranked games. I am not sure if I will be able to do that since the online is never the same as it is with a friend playing right beside you. It lags and the button presses take like 4 times when I pitch. Throws my timing off. Unless the randoms I match with just throw it down the middle to Griffey every time, I would hate to have the 30 game limit run out and have to start from scratch.

I finally completed this mission!!! I almost f'd it up too! Started off with a lead-off double and scored on next batter. Go through the game and in the 8th Griffey Jr comes to the plate with one out. I let the first strike go bye. It's followed by three balls and then a strike - 3-2 count. Pitch is thrown, and obviously low. However, I got trigger happy and hit x. Luckily, I pulled back in time and only did a check swing. Catcher pointed to third base umpire for a check....Safe....to first base I go and 1% completed. That was the hardest 1% I ever had to get lol. Good news is I have 33% more about to be completed and puts me around the 65% mark or 70%...so I am moving along now! The next few ones will take forever though after that.
