Ranked Seasons Points

Does anybody know the algorithm for how many points you receive for a win in ranked seasons. Do you get more points for winning by more runs? Do you lose less points if a game is close?

It has to do with your difference between rating of your opponent. If you have a higher rating and lose you will get fewer points, if you have a higher rating and lose you will lose more points. If you have a lower rating and win you will get more points, if you have a lower rating and lose you will lose fewer points.

I believe it's based on the ELO rating system which is used for Chess.

Yeah it's definitely based on your opponents rating. I just played a guy who had a team stocked with diamonds while mine only has one. When I lost my rating went down from 937 to 912 while his went up from 603 to 631. So team quality doesn't seem to play a huge role it's more based on opponent quality.

you must only lose points the higher category you are in. the games i have lost or even won my opponent has never lost any rating.

i think its more based on rating than team quality. for example if you had a guy rated 900 and a guy rated 200 and say the 200 rated guy wins, he probably would get a lot more points than if the 900 rated guy won.
