if you can access the ranked seasons leaderboard, you can search for player and just select an extra innings game against their team. i dont think you need ps+

You're probably better off just playing the Padres on All Star this year tbh. Same odds of a gold or silver, but the stats count and it's less mind numbing.

Stats do count for extra innings. Go to your missions screen and scroll all the way over to the right and you will see Friendlies. Click on that and you will see 5 categories for playing EI.

I played them & beat them.. Didn't get a diamond or gold.. Meh. Lol
