Right, like when you need a stolen base and all the opposing pitcher does is throw over to first or pitch out.

Yeah I agree. I literally couldn’t get George Brett to hit the ball out of the infield even on perfect timing and contact swings. It was if my five-year-old was batting. At the time I kept him in my lineup even after completing his card because he was my best third baseman. Once I completed his mission I was constantly getting doubles and hitting the balls into the gap completely out of nowhere all of a sudden. Makes you think

Re: Capture Missions

Harold Baines is all I have left and it is KILLING ME. Thanks for the tip to put him at 1B. I didn't know you could do that.

Then it's off to the AL/NL hitting/pitching missions.

Any tips for these going in?

Same as most of the other tips. Play on Rookie and pick a bad team to play. Put the guys you need stats with at the top of the lineup.

But it's not in Conquest mode correct?

This....I need a few stolen bases but if lead off the opposing pitcher will continue to throw over until he gets me if I don’t lead off I get thrown out....
I also need Home runs with Catchers (have 3 in my line-up) Utley, Rayburn, and Seth Smith and have played 8 games on rookie in Colorado without a single HR...before I needed that if I played anywhere on Rookie I would tag 3 ir more a game....

love the tip....but unfortunately I already do that, I'm just terrible at the game haha. This is the first version I've owned and I'd like to think I'll improve quickly.

ps. love the name....I'm aussie also.

Always good to see another aussie on here, thought i was the only one haha. You'll get better given time , playing around with pitching and hitting controls might be beneficial to find what works best for. Personally i use pulse pitching because i suck with the meter and analog pitching. I'd suggest playing with your camera too , makes a huge difference for getting your eye in when batting.
