Re: 4/27 Roster Update is out now

I guessed right on my only speculative buys (Cole and Baez), but I may have been late to the party. I know the update just came out, but their prices are actually down from where I bought them.

Anyone who has played in years past understand the ebb and flow of pricing after the updates? Will upgraded players' prices rise after awhile once all the speculators sell off their stashes looking for a quick profit? Or is the market going to be so saturated that we don't see much movement?

In my experience the last few years it is very common for prices to actually go down initially when a card bumps up. The demand is highest prior to the roster update and then once the update happens everybody is trying to unload their cards. It should slowly rise over time, but in my experience the best time to sell is Thursday night (the night before the roster updates).

Good info. Do they normally do roster updates every week, or is it less often than that?

They used to do roster updates every week, but I do not know if they still do.

Re: 4/27 Roster Update is out now

Is it me or are 90% of the Gold cards stupid cheap this year? I think it’s because they flooded the game too early with too many missions that unlock great cards. I like the missions but it was too easy to build an amazing team quickly this year. Instead of having to save stubs for quality players we need to save them for jerseys and hats.....that feels less fun for some reason. Finally affording that player you wanted had a good feeling when you picked him up but finally being able to afford that jersey you need makes you feel like you were just mugged and clubbed over the head.....You can easily pick up 3-4 gold players for the price of 1 diamond jersey that will only complete about 15-20% of the jerseys required to finish the exchange.

To get back on topic of the roster update, but it goes hand in hand with the above, seeing a player go from silver to gold has lost a bit of that excitement as his price increase is only about 400-500 stubs.

Re: 4/27 Roster Update is out now

The golds are super cheap because of the new “Exchange”. Hell I traded in a ton of bronzes the other day then traded in all my silvers and got 15 gold cards.

The only players worth investing in this year are the ones who might go Diamond since those cards are still super rare.
