Re: AL West Immortal Event

I feel like I face diamond Nelson Cruz/Buhner/Napoli every single game. I guess I'm one of the few without these cards lol. Also played quite a few guys with Trout.

Either dudes are buying stubs like crazy or they are absolute beasts at stub making.

Can not get on a roll with these 3 inning games. I always get beat by 1 or 2 power swings from Cruz or Gallo. Never using power swing is really biting me in this event.

How do you know they are power swings? I never use power swings and was hitting a lot of homers in this event. Even had a couple on contact swings with Gallo and Olson.

Re: AL West Immortal Event

I feel like I can tell by the check swings they do that are always called although that's not 100% accurate.

By the way, I've played like 6 games tonight and all players were gold or diamond level profiles. It's weird cause I'm not sure I played anyone that high heading into tonight.

Agree - check swing strikes (with or without appeal) are often the sign of a power swing though like you said it's not 100%. Low discipline guys can still get rung up on normal checkswings.

So, if I see a guy getting check swing strike calls throughout a game, it's a pretty safe bet they're using power swing liberally.
