Another year, another what are you working on thread!

Although there doesn't seem to be as much in terms of things to work on this year, I figure it's still the general DD chat thread and a place to share your celebrations when you finally beat that moment that you've been tying and failing for the past hour!

Personally, I knocked out the welcome to moments thing, then gave a go at some of the shorter moments in the Bryce and Mays programs. Not reall a fan of moments tbh, incredibly repetitive and grindy so far, just fail, retry, fail, retry, fail, retry, win. Move on and repeat, not really feeling any immersion or fun, especially as my success seems almost entirely random!

I've decided to just complete conquest for now as I always enjoy that, then probably do the other two conquests before returning to the grind of moments I guess

Quick levelling up tip as well. Do 10 man collections for the different teams, plus the equipment ones with any spare stuff you have. It adds up to quite a lot and is incredibly cheap and easy. Even 20 men per team is pretty manageable, you'll probably have 15 men on some teams just by opening packs.

Working on the 1st inning program moments. Not sure how long it’ll take me to do this program since I have zero desire to dump the money in to get those 10 diamonds. But I’ve only got the last two missions to go.

Probably switch over and start doing some ranked games after that. Or I might try and finish MtO to get the Yankees Affinity Diamond card.

Also working on seeing if I can ever hit a HR. Sooooo much warning track power haha

This is a year-long project: I'm going to get Willie Mays.

Already blew my load on packs, and I won't be spending another stub on more this year, was able to field a pretty good team to do the initial grind. Any pack opening will come from packs I earn by playing.

Any player I get from rewards that I can sell that I don't plan on being an end game player will get sold. I might have a few exceptions here and there. I plan on being a millionaire! (You can top that right?)

Still trying to win my first ranked seasons game too. 0-2 so far

Right now I am working on finishing out the cheap teams before any major prospects show up to push the price up (White Sox and Blue Jays specifically). After that, I want to get Ty Cobb from Conquest.

Good advice on doing the 10 man collections. Didn’t realize they broke them up more his year. Got a solid 5 levels and 3k stubs without buying anyone.

I have a “buddy” from my Madden League that just asked how our squads were doing. Then proceeded to show us his squad with Trout, Judge and what looked like at least $7/800 worth of players. He’s a really good dude but i wanted to boot him from the chat on the spot lol.

Also I had the most perfect 1st ranked game. 0-0 going into the 7th. Get back to back HR to go up 3-0. Next inning I lead off with a double....and he proceeds to bean 7 batters in a row, offer a friendly quit and then just regular quit. Welcome back to ranked play to me [emoji23][emoji23]

Do we know if the rewards at bronze lvl 75 are sellable? (Ichiro/Giambi/Kershaw/Nolan/etc)

I'm pretty sure the ones at silver 1 aren't (the 5 signature series cards) but I wasn't sure about lvl 75

I'm going to rely on live series cards for a while. Going after the AL first because I want pudge. Selling all the legends and flashbacks I get for now

Also, I'm about 30 points away from cy young/andruw/goose and I'm just going to pick the one worth the most lol. By the way do we get program points just by playing games? Already completed all the initial missions, all I have left is to get 75 points if I lock in 10 pre-order cards and I'm not doing that lol. Should be about 3 more days of daily missions before I get 300

Working on the Harper moments, stuck on the fn Padres not being able to hit a homerun.

Just stole fans on vet in conquest and it gave me 2 points. I'll see if I get more later

You seem to get 2 stars per conquest game. Kind of makes grinding so hard for those 5 star moments seem like a huge waste of my time!

You get points doing March to October as well, I went from 213 to 235 playing that a few hours last night.

Right now I’m working on getting better pitching. I finished the NL Central collection because I needed that Edmonds. But while I got some good position players and bullpen from that, the starting pitching isn’t too great. I’m doing a Cardinals MTO to get that Gibson.

My overall goal is to get the NL collection done for Hornsby. I’ve spent all the extra money I’m going to spend to get the NLC done, so hopefully I’ll get some good drops and there will be good event rewards to sell. It does seem that live series prices are cheaper than years past which helps. Hopefully it stays that way.
