Returning player who just got the game

I have been a long time player of the series but took a break from buying this year's game until very recently. I used to play diamond dynasty a lot in 18 and was wondering how this year's version was faring? Has anyone found what appears to be the new "round" system for opening packs to be a good compromise of a less expensive p2p model (for those that generally pay for stubs compared to f2p)? I have not played enough for this year's game to get a good idea but after reading some reviews of the mode it seems like they are slightly improving upon the mode. Would love to have yall let me know your experiences so far this year.

Do you mean the choice packs? It's nice that it gives people a variety to choose from and helps promote diversity for the most part. Idk that it really takes away stub purchasing. The Signature Packs with the rounds and tiers are still 100% gambling
