I had a glitch on the showdown played at the Polo Grounds. Duke Snider hit a bomb into the left-center bullpen. He easily rounded the bases for a walk-off homer and met the remaining HR challenge requirement. The screen said "Defeated". I looked at the box score and he was credited with a Triple. So, I guess inside the park homers don't count in that challenge.

I think they changed the payouts on Showdowns, making it harder to break even if you fail. To which I ask, Why?

From what I'm reading they made them easier overall. They took out the forced pitcher selections and if you go halfway through you get 8 runs on the board.

I'll take that with a lesser payout all day if it makes the time investment better

I honestly don't know how to beat the Max Scherzer boss battle. I know I can't skip him and face deGrom without those diamonds, but I physically cannot get that 4th run. I just had a showdown where the cleanup hitter hit a bases clearing double to tie it with 10 outs, only to never get him home. It's cursed and I just want to get FOTF Soto

I've only tried the first inning one twice and both times I failed on the first boss, and the second attempt I only beat a single mission and while I was able to tie the game against the boss I could not get the last run needed.

I still like the concept but the entry fee and the all or nothing nature turns me off. It will be interesting to see at the end of the Inning program how essential it is to complete this to reach 300 stars as a fully offline player.

It definitely pays a big chunk of the stars. I'm not sure what their plans are exactly but it looks like they're doing player programs with chunks of moments that are going to contribute 20 points if they follow Granderson. I'm at 174 without touching online yet and doing Conquest and Showdown plus Granderson. I don't remember how much longer this program has but if they did a player program once a week over the month its out that's 80 stars total.
