    Pitching frustration

What’s with everyone in Diamond Dynasty having a bunch of Hall of Famers in their bullpen? I’m guessing it’s cause it looks like this year the system allows you to add a starting pitcher onto your bullpen.

Granted the games only been out for a few days, but it seems like the majority of opponents I’ve played in Diamond Dynasty have started an a Cy Young quality pitcher and then brought it other Hall of Famers as relievers.

Had a game the other day where they started Max Scherzer. After he got in a little trouble they brought in Greg Maddux, and then another Hall of Fame starting pitcher after that.

Just frustrating, feel like I’m always facing Maddux, Smoltz, Scherzer, Kershaw, or someone at that level, like I haven’t faced a pitcher rated below a 90 yet. So for the most part my hitting isn’t as good as it was last year. I’ve just been way off balance between.

I’m also struggling pitching way more than I did last year. I’m giving up a lot of homers and gap doubles. When I get a perfect release on my pitch, they foul it off. If the pitch is just barely outside the zone they take a ball. If it’s over the plate and I’m off on the release they crush it. Hardly striking anyone out.

Granted, I don’t have a great pitching staff so far. I’ve done good with Darvish, and had one good and one bad outing with Severino. But my other starters have been crushed.

The RS meta will almost surely consist of people doing that for a while. I wouldn't be shocked if they eventually release a patch that causes regeneration to either take longer, or stamina draining faster to prevent people from just cycling through pitchers like that.

We all knew it was coming but the real question for me was how it would balance out over the course of the year.

There should be a ratings penalty for bringing starters out of the bullpen (if there isn't already) similar to playing a guy at a secondary position. It won't necessarily dissuade people but it might make them think more strategically.

Alternatively there seems to be an automatic ratings penalty for SPs who become RPs (see every roster update where a guy moves from rotation to bullpen and goes down 5 overall points with no ratings changes) and maybe it's time to get rid of that.
