Also bummed I didn't buy jram for 25k cause I actually thought about it but was saving for trout. I'm having a hard time with a bench I like and think he'd be perfect

I did buy burnes for like 25k thinking he'd go up in price but he really didn't.

Holding duplicate verlander/Soto diamonds thinking they'll be worth more at some point.

Then I must say rizzo has been very good, wasn't excited about him or the program structure but I've done very good with his card so far. I dropped bellinger off the team who I was using at first hit still hitting very good with him.

I'll prob never try to Delgado due to stubs unless I get lucky and pull him.

Finished off Astros, Royals and Giants collections tonight. Pulled another Harper to get some stubs back. Around 25k stubs after finishing those collections and selling off all my bulk inventory.

Doesn't look like I'll be able to finish the entire program for all the packs. Was hiking most of today and only had a couple hours and work the next two days. Can try to grind Thursday evening after work maybe but not looking great.

Hopefully the Halladay program is still easy enough to finish on 2 weeks.

Question on the monthly program: if I’ve completed Stage 1 without finishing the April Topps Now mission — am I not still able to do that TN mission (and get the program points)?

I took the weekend off bc of family in town, and that break usually helps me, but the opposite is true. I’m playing conquest games and cannot score. I even dropped down from A-S to Veteran and no difference. I’m squaring up chest-high fastballs one tick off of perfect and their infield pop ups or lazy flies to OF. Like I’m hitting with a plastic bat. My timing is good, my contact is good - my results are awful. Making the MA PXP slog all the more sloggy

Id go into practice mode against degrom (national all star team)... Then set it to throw 4 seamers in the zone inside and outside for like 5 mins. Turn it up to hof or legend.

I do with hof and sliders up 4 notches for fastballs.

Speeds my bat and reactions up. If I do legend and 4 ticks I get waaassyyyyy too ahead of stuff.

It felt more like something with the game - anything but perfect contact was an easy out, ABs on Veteran usually involve some meatballs and the CPU was dotting the corners, the hits and runs would come in the 5th inning, etc.

But maybe I’m just not accepting my own poor play and will give the practice mode option a go. I need some PXP pronto. I don’t love my grind squad for this monthly program and can’t wait to move on.

Re: What Are You Working On? (Returning) - MLB The Show 22 Edition

I have like 80k stubs and four options.

1) I have most the dodgers and could finish them off for Gibson easy, I pulled tatis early so the only other pricey card in nl west is Machado so I could finish the west for kenley pretty easy. Gibson would replace Buxton for me and kenley would replace Huston Street

2) buy jram for 80-90k or whatever he is and he'd instantly be on my bench. Against lhp I'd prob drop rizzo, move pujols to first and jram at 3rd....plus having a switch hitter to pinch hit late is nice.

3) mussina was one of my favorite pitchers. Vlad is down to like 85k or so and judge is 50k. The rest of the al east isn't too much. Since I'm not playing ranked anytime soon moose would be my offline God squad ace for a long time just bc I like him.

4) just keep saving for the next best thing?

The game just goes through phases of being like that, some games it just doesn't seem to let you hit. (this is particularly bad when the wind is blowing in, as apparently even a 2mph is enough to prevent anyone hitting a homerun!). Once you start to feel like that, it works against you and you start playing worse, getting overly aggressive and annoyed.

The only thing to do is just accept it's happening and that maybe in the next game it will suddenly let you score a bucket full of runs on the exact same swings. It's why I always have a couple of cheesy bunter/basestealers on my bench, so I can cheese my way to win in the games it doesn't seem to want to let me find a gap. Grind out the wins in the "tough luck" games, then enjoy the games where the ball is flying
