I don’t care if you want to mix up your timing, but I don’t have the tolerance for waiting until the last possible second so quit during the first batter after a 3-2 count.

From there I started Randy and got an immediate quit. I’m amazed how quickly people quit, so I pushed the envelope and kept starting him and got up to 12 wins in the event in about an hour.

Played one ranked game after finishing work and before bed and took the loss. Robbed of two homers in the game, but up to about 50 innings.
....I don't get it....Randy is not THAT hard to hit....I mean, he's not easy by any means, but he's not a juiced Chris Sale out there either.

Online he's pretty tough. I don't struggle offline usually but online there are times where I feel like I have to guess because the ball just explodes.

I wouldn't quit just because I'm facing him but with the increased speeds online I'm sure some folks just don't wanna bother. I'd wager he's virtually unhittable if you're not on a monitor.

It won't last long, but at least for now the gold pitching mission in mini-seasons was a nice little earner. The choice pack netted me 2 cards that went for over 10k each, but they will drop like a stone I suspect as their value was linked to them being extinct BR cards. So if you are planning on doing it, do it early, as I suspect by the end of the month they'll be down to a couple of K each

Weee....a whole 10k stubs for us offline guys for our mode's "monthly content refresh".

(I'm sure you "got it", but that's a little jab at SDS....not at you...thanks for the head's up)

He is definitely tougher online, especially when they don’t just spam fastball in the same location.

I wasn’t thinking about non monitors, so that’s fair. But worst case it’s what, 3 innings?

And beating feels pretty good too.

Don't worry, I got it! Nice of them to time it with a collection where you need a guy you unlock playing events, one you get for playing BR and one you get for playing Ranked Seasons.

I assume people already know, but the secret missions are getting PXP with Live players and getting 5K's with any version of Roy Halladay.

Getting hits with bronzes is easiest if you just have Roman Quin bat lead of and drag bunt as he's perfect at it. Strikeouts with silvers is easiest with relievers as all the silver starters have terrible K/9. (Aroldis Chapman is a silver now and strikes out a ton, same for Lucas Simms)

I'm seeing how many missions I can conceivably do in one run, but some are clearly just not remotely doable or worth it. (looking at you 40XBH with rookie/prospects) That sac fly mission also looks impossible unless you actively stack a bench full of legends and pinch hit every single time a runner gets to third, then get lucky enough to hit a sac fly instead of a hit or grounder

Re: What Are You Working On? (Returning) - MLB The Show 22 Edition

Finally finished the April POTM program, and up to date on Topps stuff for May. Chipping away at the Big Dog missions to build up my binder. Lost my first MS game to the Cats last night. Drew 99 Randy for the second game and Helton hit a lead off homer off him to win it for me. Happy to get a L/L homer.

13-1 in my MS and going to keep chipping away at that until the new program drops.

At 130k stubs. Not sure if/how I should be spending. I could get more Big Dogs. I don’t have any Cover, FOTF or Okazaki cards (will chill on the latter since prices jumped).

Is there any easy way for an offline player to find the BR/Event awards? Or does one need to enter each of those modes to see what they are? I wasn’t sure if there was a site or something that keeps track
