Michigan Wolverines II (CH2K5)

Sorry Duke fans (mainly Kredit and Diddy), I just can't get over how my Michigan legacy was tragically cut short, after all the work I went through...so I am restarting with Michigan. I may sim a game here or there as well.

The usual roster and schedule coming.

#25 Michigan        40   39-79

Wolverines start 2005 with a roar

Fresh off a 2005 NIT Championship, higher things are expected of the Michigan Wolverines this season. They are a young team, as their starting five consists of three juniors and two sophomores. They run a three-guard lineup and rely on the fast break for offense.

The Wolverines opened the season up against the Binghamton Bearcats in the Preseason NIT Tournament. Things got ugly fast, as after falling behind 6-4, Michigan went on a 27-4 run to take a 31-10 lead. UM led 40-15 at intermission, and never looked back, winning their season opener, 79-46.

Player of the Game

Lester Abram: 28 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks

Dion Harris: 17 points, 4 assists, 3 steals
Daniel Horton: 11 points, 7 assists, 4 steals
Courtney Sims: 9 points, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks
Chris Hunter: 5 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals

Schafer Jackson: 12 points, 4 assists
Nick Billings: 10 points, 7 rebounds
Troy Hailey: 6 points, 3 rebounds
Sebastian Hermenier: 6 points, 4 rebounds

Next Game: College of Charleston (1-0) vs. #25 Michigan (1-0)

        College of Charleston   7    29-36
#25 Michigan                    63   23-86

Wolverines employ blitzkrieg offense in embarassment of Cougars

24-10 in assists.

43-26 in rebounding.

14 steals.

16 blocks.

A 55-5 run, and a 63-7 halftime lead.

WOW.

The Wolverines could hardly believe it themselves, as they blocked or stole the ball from College of Charleston nearly every time down the court, and they had 36 fast break points, as they gave a new meaning to the word woodshed with an 86-36 thrashing.

Player of the Game

Daniel Horton: 22 points, 12 assists, 6 steals, 3 rebounds

Dion Harris: 23 points
Lester Abram: 12 points, 7 rebounds
Chris Hunter: 7 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, 3 blocks
Courtney Sims: 4 points, 9 rebounds, 11 blocks

Tony Mitchell: 12 points, 7 rebounds
Drew Hall: 6 points, 3 assists, 3 blocks
Bernard Jackson: 6 points, 8 rebounds

Next Game: #25 Michigan (2-0) vs. San Diego (2-0)
