Michael Griffith scored 6 of his team high 19 points in the final 2 minutes including a crashing dunk with 32.7 seconds remaining that was the deciding factor. Quach st led by one when Griffith scored to give Famu their first lead of the game with only 1:12 remaining but Quach St went back down and Answered to retake the lead before Griffith made his Explanation Slam. Quach st Led by as much as 43-30 in the 2nd half but they shot poorly in the last half of the game despite shooting 56% for the game. Moses White was the only other Rattler in double figures with 10. Paul Haynes led the way for Qauchita st with 27.

After 2 straight road comeback victories The Rattlers luck ran out against Delaware st in the Conference3 road opener. Trailing most of the GAme Famu pulled to 60-58 with about 5:50 to go but G Anton James nailed 2 3s and a jumpshot within a 2 minute strectch to pull Delaware out to a 72-62 lead and they never looked back. James finsihed with 14 points and 8 assists. J Henderson led the way for the Rattlers with 18 points and 13 boards. Griffith 19, Wilkins 14 and Hill 10 were the other Rattlers in double figures. Delaware shot an amazing 61% to Famus 48. They also outboarded Famu 32-29.

Farleigh Dickinson 66

Famu bounced back fro mthere first loss of the year to get an easy win over FD. FD commited 26 turnovers and they were the reason for the loss. M Griffith led the way for Famu with 26, while D Wilikins added 20 and J Henserson scored 10

Mary-Eastern Shore 69

Famu came back home after a 4 game road trip and found themselves in a tussel against Maryland Eastern Shore (7-3).
Down most of the game Dominique Jackson came up with a huge three to pull within i at 67-66. After a Mdes score Jackson again connected on a driving layup to pull within 1. Two possesions later and with time running out D Wilkins took it to the lane and got the go ahead score with just 17.2 secs left. Mdes couldnt connect and after 2 free throws by Wilkins, M Griffith rejected Shores final three point shot attempt to pull the Rattles to a 10-1 start. 2-1 in Meac play
Leadin Rattlers:
Wilkins 24, Griffith 15, Jackson 12
Eastern Shore: Damond Thomas 23pts 14 reb, Ali Trotman 21pts 8 reb

Howard 79

Famu dominated the first half, building a 53-34 halftime lead and held on for the victory over a Howard team who was projected to compete for the conference title this year. Jeremy Henderson was Unstoppable scoring 26 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. He had 20 and 11 at the break. D Wilkins played well again scoring 23 and M Griffith added 15 for the 11-1 Rattlers. Roy Willianson led 5 Howrd players in Double figures with 23. Bot hteams shot over 50% but Famu dominated rebounding 43-27 including a 22-9 on edge on the offensive glass.

Hampton 72

Hampton proved why they where the preseason pick to win the Meac as they fought off a furios Rattler team to get a 7 point win. Famu continued its poor road shooting only knocking down 35% of there shots. They trailed by as many as 11 midway throught the half but pulled within 3 several times but that was as close as they could get. D Wilkins led the way for Famu with 23 and J Henderson added 12 and 17 rebounds. M Griffith had his worse game of the season shooting just 3 for 19 and only scoring 8 points.

Famu bounced back strong after its loss to Hampton with a dominating performance o nthe road against Nichols St. Famu shot 49% from the field and Held the Spartans to just 41%. Once again the 3 amigos led Famu in scoring. Wilkins led the way with 17, J Henderson had 14 points and 11 rebounds 4 blocks despite foul trouble.
M Griiffith Contiuned his poor shooting slump scoring 10 points but just hitting on 4 of 15 shots.

Morgan st 61

Michael Griifith was glad to see the home court and broke out of a slump in a big way. He Finished with 32 points a season high and had 22 of them in the 1st half as the Rattlers opened up a 21 point halftime lead and never looked back. Griffith nailed 6 of 13 three points attempts. Famu shot 52% compared to Morgan sts 44%. Morgan st (7-9, 4-2) was lead by Clinton Kilpatrick who scored 20.
Four other Rattlers finished in double figures, Wilkens 14, Hill 10, White 11, Henderson 12 and 12 rebounds.
