That was a tough way to end the year with the MEAC tournament loss then getting beat by the USAFA Falcons.

Your senior ladened starting five should take you pretty far this year and take out your revenge for the late season tournament loss.

Do you have any favorites among the incoming freshmen?

No, not one favorite. Erroll Randolph was a guy that I'd offered but realised how bad he was then removed him from my target list. When Sonny Queen didn't sign I went crawling back to Randolph because I wanted a true PF to spell Wills. His low offense and defense are decent at 66 with his off and def rebounding being at 73 and 71 respectively. Who knows, he may turn out to be the rebounding machine that Chad Webster became just after mid-season. Webster is now a junior so I expect him to only get better.

Everyone else is pretty subpar. With my new recruiting system I'm hoping things will improve. It can be found in the college hoops forums. I think the thread title is "recruiting strategy question."

I personally let my "assistants" take care of the targets and they will get back to me with players who they want me to give a scholorship to, but it's up to me to offer the scholorship or not. It's supposed to be based on my criteria but the first guy they tell me about has a "D" rating in intelegence and couldn't rebound if he was the only player on the court (an "F" rating). My first criteria is intelegence and my second criteria is skill. Although the kid is 95% interested in playing at West Point, he's going to have to walk on and then "ride the pine" unless something major happens.

I do, however, target maybe a hand full based on who is interested in coming to my school. I found this terrific 4-star player who wants to go to Army and I had targeted him when he was a junior last season in HS. He's currently at 98%. I'll have more about him in my future posts.

Keep up the great work at NC A&T.

Yeah, my assistants take care of my targets as well but I have to set the target list. I offer my own schollies though.
