MIAMI, FL (AP) -- The FIU Golden Panthers ended a 13 game losing streak saturday following a 4th quarter comeback to knock of previously unbeaten Maryland 44-37. Panthers running back Julian Reams rushed for a career high 221 yards and 4 touchdowns to improve FIU's record to 1-1.
Maryland led 37-31 with 2:02 left in the game when Josh Portis threw his 4th interception of the game. leading to the game winning score by Reams on a 76 yard run. The game saw 7 interceptions between the two teams.
FIU travels across town to play the Miami Hurricanes in a rematch of last years historic battle which featured "The Brawl."
