Trade Update

The Indians have reportedly send Reggie Stocker (Barry Bonds) and Cliff Lee to the Pirates for Jason Bay and Phil Dumatrait. The Indians hope that Bay can had some need power from the corner outfield positions this season.

I only signed Barry because they wouldn't accept any other trade even when I offered Sizemore because in this game they only will trade for guys from the same position.

I am going to go play my first game right now.

Indians Start 2008 Season Off With A 3-1 Loss To The Chicago White Sox.

Both teams were scoreless until Casey Blake led off the bottom of the third inning with a solo shot to the left field bleachers. C.C. was pitching a shutout until the sixth when he loaded the bases with none out and walked in a run. He was able to work out of that jam with out any further damage done. In the top of the seventh Paul Konerko hit what ended up being the game winning homerun to make it a 2-1 White Sox lead. The White Sox then added a third run against Rafeal Betancourt. The Indians managed 7 hits and the White Sox had 9 hits. Jason Bay had a fantastic game for his debut with the Indians going 3 for 4 with a double and two singles.

What are your plans for Dumatrait? I think he was supposed to start for the Indianapolis Indians (AAA).

I would have gone for McCutchen, personally, but Bay will light it up.

I am going to start this back up. I have played through April and I am at the beginning of May. I won't have time to update after every game but I will have an update for every week or so and will have some game updates. I am just wondering who would follow it if I started it back up.

Indians Trade Jason Bay for Cliff Lee!
In order to keep my season more realistic I traded Jason Bay back to the Pirates for Cliff Lee since he got off to suck a tremendous start in real life.
*After his poor performance during the spring I expected the Tribe to trade him this year for another bat but after his great start I saw they wouldn't trade for him.
