Looks amazing. Great Job. I love the Cubs but couldn't even imagine doing all the work you are doing in this. Thanks for giving me something to read at work, when I can't find anything productive to do.

Beyond the Ivy Live
April 8, 2008
(WCIU Channel 26 In Chicago)
Broadcasting Every Cubs Day Off

Segment 1: Jon Lieber Discusses His Return
Segment 2: Lou Talks About Scoring Runs
Segment 3: Cubs Top Performer
Segment 4: A Look Ahead

Brad: Hello Cubs fans and welcome to another season of Beyond the Ivy live here on WCIU Channel 26. Today I have Jon Lieber, Sweet Lou, and a couple surprise guests. Well let's start with Jon Lieber, Cubs starting pitcher. Jon welcome back to Chicago.

Jon: Thanks Brad, its good to be back in this town. Lots of unfinished business to attend to now that I'm back.

Brad: What do you mean by that Jon?

Jon: Well when I left here, we were in a real slump in 2002, and we always had trouble getting to the post-season. Now that I'm back, I'm looking forward to making something of my return.

Brad: Well let's hope you are up to the challenge after Rich Hill was sent down because of his command issues. 21 game winner back in 2001, Jon can you do it again?

Jon: Honestly, I think those days are done, and the only thing right now I want to do is pitch well enough to get some "W"s.

Brad: Well see you later Jon and good luck as a Cub once again.

Jon: Thanks Brad always a pleasure.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

Brad: Well we are back with more Beyond the Ivy, and my next man is Sweet Lou. Lou how are you doing?

Lou: Well..uhh before I got here I took a dump and it stunk like this team for sure. You know I don't know what these guys expect me to do about their losses. I don't play the game, I manage. I help these guys get in a position to get stats.

Brad: Is the team's pitching a problem?

Lou: No, not all the time, it's really the run scoring problem we have had. We need to go out there and make opposing pitchers pay. The cellar is not a great place to be.

Brad: Lou any last comments?

Lou: Yeah, these fans are a treat aren't they? I mean dont these people have realy jobs that they come to the ball game everyday and get drunk? I'm outta here..

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

Brad: We are back to present the Cubs Top Performer and it goes to... Ryan Dempster as he got his first win as a Cubs starter since 2004. Congrats to him.

Brad: Next we look ahead to the Cubs schedule:
-Cubs @ Pirates April 9th 7:30
-Cubs @ Pirates April 10th 7:30
-Cubs @ Phillies April 11th 7:30
-Cubs @ Phillies April 12th 7:30
-Cubs @ Phillies April 13th 1:20 (TBS)

Brad: We will see you on Monday April 14th for another Beyond the Ivy with Brad
