Re: The Run and Shoot Returns to Atlanta (NFL HC)

My posts from the mysterious page 3.

Now I can see it all of a sudden, but others still can't. Weird.

Quote:
Well first pre-season game against Jacksonville went about as expected 42-0 loss. Defense actually played well at times, but since my offense couldn't maintain a drive they just wore down.

QB's were awful, QB that played the best was actually UDFA Erik Ainge. Malcolm Kelly showed some promis as a WR.

Cut day came right after the game.

Following Players were cut:

RB Justin Forsett
TE Martrez Milner
WR Joe Horn
S Matt Ware.
Quote:
Well I accidentally simmed the game vs. the Colts, but it was an ugly 35-7 game in which the offense once again do nothing right and the defense was worn down.

On a whim for the 3rd pre-season game I decided to give rookie Andre Woodson the start, and the offense seemed to respond. He went 10 of 16 for 142 yards and a TD in his one half of play. Brody Croyle also had his best half of the season, and Quin Gray may have played himself out of a roster spot.

Rookie WR Malcolm Kelly continues to improve and Javon Walker is making plays as well.

We ended up losing to Tennesee 31-20 but the team as a whole ended up playing much better. Vince Young gave us all we could handle though, rushing for a TD on a designed QB run, and scoring another TD on a scramble. Lendale White also gave us some trouble rushing for 72 yards on 17 carries.

Some quick rookie notes.

-2nd round pick Donnie Avery is showing a ton of potential and is making a lot of plays. Key will be will his attitude hold him back?

-Jonathan Stewart is already hurt. Strained Hamstring, he's missed the the last 2 pre-season games.

-Malcolm Kelly isn't a great fit for this offense, but he's contributing nicely. He gives us a physical presence and is our best WR at catching the ball in traffic.

- John Sullivan has assured himself of a roster spot and will be the #2 center going in to the regular season.

-Quentin Groves may have been the steal of our draft. High motor, gets to the QB and he's all over the place. Won't start ahead of John Abraham, but he has a future in this league and will get time this year.

Re: The Run and Shoot Returns to Atlanta (NFL HC)

Couple of more from Page 3.

Quote:
Latest Round of Camp Cuts

DT Montavious Stanley
SS Keith Davis
C Matt Lehr
K Alexis Serna
WR Brian Finneran
WR Adam Jennings
C Ben Wilkerson
QB Quinn Gray

With Quin Grey released, that leaves us with Brody Croyle and the rookies Woodson and Erik Ainge. We are going to shop for a veteran QB i the next week or so.

Injury Report:

LB Stephen Nicholas Torn Quad, 3-7 months, placed on IR
G Kile Lefotu, Sprained Shoulder, Day to Day
DE Quentin Groves, Bruised Knee, Day to Day.
G Tyson Claby, Elbow, Day to Day

Next up or last pre-season game vs. Baltimore.
Quote:
Finished the final pre-season game with a 31-28 loss to Baltimore on the road. That gives us a 0-4 record in the Pre-Sesaon. The good news is the team is actually starting to play better.

Final Cuts:
G Joe Andruzzi
FB Bo McMurphy
OT Quinn Ojinnaka
OT Patrick McCoy

I also released P Mitch Berger who was having a horrible camp and pre-season. We signed P Ben Graham to replace him.

This is pretty interesting. I have Head Coah also, but started in the Preseason. I may start over and re-do the offseason, it seems like fun.

The Page 3 is a weird thing, here's what I see when I go. There's no other post besides the one in the screenshot.

With the Falcons, I'm interested with your QBs and how it'll work out

Re: The Run and Shoot Returns to Atlanta (NFL HC)

Page 3 was working just fine for me yesterday, now it's cut off for me too!

Something similiar happened to Nolefan's CH 2K7 coaching legacy last year too where the page was cut off. He ended up having to start a new thread because of it.
