~**The Seattle Warriors: An NHL '09 CAP Dynasty**~

    THE SEATTLE WARRIORS

    TSN NHL UPDATE

League Commissioner Gary Bettman has just announced that the Nashville Predators franchise will become defunct. A new team has been awarded to the city of Seattle, in Washington. The Seattle Warriors. The new team however, will not become home to the now former Nashville Predators players. The team will be consisted of unknown, rookie free-agent players. This is quite an interesting approach. The Warriors will however gain possesion of the Nashville Predators AHL Affiliate, and it's former prospects. The Milwaukee Admirals will also take on any extra players signed by the Warriors.

The Warriors organization informed us that captaincy will be determined in a short while. They are very happy with the youth they have signed. All players have high expectations. They all have very good skill sets in different areas of their games. After a long search for a fitting coach, the Warriors have signed former Tampa Bay Lightning head coach John Torterella as head coach, for an undiclosed amount of money and years.

The Warriors are hoping John Torterella will bring some of his winning knowledge to the new team, full of young and talented rookies.

WARRIORS SIGN SWEDISH JUNIOR LEAGUE STAR ERIKSSON

Seattle Warriors management inked a highly-skilled, and potentially key rookie center to a three-year contract today. Swedish Junior league star Artem Eriksson's contract ended with his junior club, and he was immediately contacted by the Seattle Warriors. Eriksson has drawn comparisons to fellow Swede and idol, Henrik Zetterberg of the Detroit RedWings. Eriksson lead his team in scoring this past season, amassing 97 points in 73 games. He was also a +/- +62 player, which shows his ability to be both dominating offensivley, and responsible defensivley. Eriksson will no doubt add skill to the all-rookie roster of the Seattle Warriors. It remains unknown on how the young players will handle stepping right into the NHL. Eriksson is undoubtedly one of the more offensivley minded, finesse centers on the Warriors.

Warriors right-wing Tony Manna walked out of the showers, after an intense practice session, only to be tripped by friend and Warriors goaltender Zach Graff.

"Hey, what the hell'd you do that for, jackass?"

"Ooooh, someone didn't like having to skate extra laps for shooting high and wide 6
times in a row..", said Graff

At this, Nick Barry, Jason Skyland, and Artem Eriksson all laughed.

"I'd like to see you hit the net 6 times in a powerplay drill, fool", said Manna, whipping Graff with a towel, and accidentally knocking over newly named captain Nikola Milutinovic's TPS stick. The giant Serbian defender gave Manna a death stare, just as Coach John Tortorella walked into the locker room.

"Alright boys, I want to talk to you about captaincy. As you know, we've watched you closely through training camp and the preseason, to see who has demostrated early leadership qualitites, both on and off the ice. I'm not sure how often I'll rotate captaincy, but for now I'm happy with the leaders that have started to emerge. Nikola here has demonstrated that he can be a true leader both on and off the ice, through his physical play, and his willingness to be vocal on the ice and in the locker room, thus earning himself the C. Mike(Tatlock) really impressed us with his all around play in the preseason, both offsensivley and defensivley. He's proven himself to lead by example, and has given 120% in every game and practice. Jason, has also demostrated that he wants to lead by example. This kid is very offensivley gifted, yet won't hurt us defensivley, and has shown a rare quality in young players, clutch scoring ability. Many of you have stepped up so far, and if you continue to do so, you too may someday be captain of this team. Our 1st game is coming up this week against the St. Louis Blues, so prepare yourselves, because your time has finally come, to play in the NHL. Practice tommorow morning at 7:30am."

"Damn, I can't believe we're this close to actually playing in the NHL", said Artem Eriksson to Jason Skyland.

"Yeah man, I can't wait. I'm pretty nervous, but i want to see how we actually play against NHL talent."

"Dude, we'll be fine. Just chill out and stop worrying, it's annoying me.", interjected Brendan Gordon

"Hah, can't help it. I've waited my whole life to do this, and now that it's almost time, I just don't want to screw it up."said Skyland, as the players exited the locker room, and headed home for the day. Tony Manna pushed Zach Graff into a garbage can, and ran to his car laughing, as Maksim Murderov helped Graff off of the ground.

"Hahah, what a jackass. I'll get him back tomorrow." said Graff.
