Copy & Paste Spreadsheet Data to Forums

I remember a few years back it was possible to plain copy and paste data from a spreadsheet on to a post here on the forums and it would format beautifully. Now it no longer works like that. Is it possible to copy paste data straight from a spreadsheet to the forums?

there are converters online

paste the spreadsheet there to convert to html

http://removelinebreaks.net/

then paste the html in there to remove all the extra line breaks
