Video Embedding in Threads

I took a look at similar topics, and most of the threads I found were many a year old. I tried to integrate video clips into my most recent CFM update, and found that Imgur resulted in a broken icon, and Youtube just straight up exploded my post. I even copied the direct embedding html coding from old posts from my previous dynasty writing that worked in those threads, but it still blew up my post now.

Does anyone have any tips or a mini-guide on successfully embedding video clips into a post? For now I just linked the direct URL in a spoiler, but I'd love to just have the video right inline.
