    Editing cpu generated recruits

Sorry, I really have looked through and haven’t seen an answer:

Simply, if I sim ahead into my dynasty 5 yrs where all the players are cpu generated…can I fully edit the players? Or are there still limitations like number/position etc?

    Thank you,
    BH

        You CAN’T edit:
        - Appearance (face/skin)
        - Ratings
        - Numbers

        You CAN edit:
        - Appearance (size)
        - Equipment
        - Names

I fail to see the logic underlying this decision. Stupid.

Because there isn’t any. I’m 90% sure EA is 1. Being OVERLY cautious, and 2. Hiding behind NIL as an excuse to not have to fix all the bugs that would come with this. Otherwise just block names and let us edit everything else.

              Re: Editing cpu generated recruits

These are indeed, NIL restrictions. But it has nothing to do with the players in the game, but with the players not in the game. If you were allowed to edit numbers and facial appearance, a "real" player could be created that has not signed on with EA. This would allow said player to sue EA for using their image/likeness without permission/compensation (which is what caused the while issue with the old NCAA Football game).

Now, given that most if not all of these players not in the game were offered the same standard deal as those in (I read somewhere it was $600 and a free copy of the game), you'd think that should cover EA's tracks, but that's not the way the law works.

We have a massive thread for this topic already, let's keep using that one.
