It elevates everyone, redshirted players not anywhere on depth chart included.

Needs to be fixed to be a workable feature. I’ll continue to just do the subs myself.

Can't do 2nd or 3rd team or even back to 1st string if things get hairy, but I'll take it.
The patch notes say that subbing the starters back in should be possible. They should check that again if you really are unable still.

How does it "elevate everyone"?

I legitimately don't understand what this means. You're saying it randomly puts in 3rd and 4th stringers?

Hopefully formation subs are next.

Re: Mass Subs are Back!

It will take your redshirted players and elevate them into the depth chart. For instance. I have 5 active receivers and 3 redshirted receivers. When doing the mass subs my wr depth chart now looks like

WR 3
WR 4
WR 5
RS WR
RS WR
RS WR

Same for corners and safety’s, etc. so if you have 2 active SS and 1 RS, it will simply shift the starting SS to 3rd and elevate the RS SS to 2nd. This causes them to play on special teams, and therefore must be monitored.

You absolutely can put starters back in. I just checked. If you've subbed in your backups, and you click mass sub again, it says "mass sub starters"

Yeah, I went and looked at my own dynasty and saw that. The thing to keep in mind is that with the new redshirt rules, the game can't assume you never want a redshirt player to to actually play.

They can play in up to 4 games and keep their shirt. So it's not "broken" so much as I'm assuming they just didn't bother to exclude all players. And to be fair, quite a lot of schools, when they use those 4-game redshirts, they're not getting a ton of playing time, they're getting a play here or there.

Honestly, seems like this is far from broken and adds to the reality. If you're putting in mass subs, that's when the extreme bench warmers go in.

If I want to save my player's eligibility for the post season, I should be able to do that.

The head coach having no say regarding which 4 games his specially designated redshirt players get to play does not "add to the realism."

That's one of the sillier defenses of a poorly-thought-out feature that I've read on this forum, to be frank.
