Re: Mass Subs are Back!

I have yet to start a dynasty. For the redshirted players, do they have the real-life rule in the game where they are allowed to participate in four games still and can still redshirt or do you have to not play them at all to keep the tag?

That rule is in the game...the CPU actually auto-redshirts any player on your team that is eligible for a redshirt and doesn't play in 4 games during the season.

I would love formation subs, but I think that would be much harder to add in than mass subs for a patch. mostly probably time consuming. It'll probably be something they'll add in for CF26.

The head coach having no say regarding which 4 games his specially designated redshirt players get to play does not "add to the realism."

That's one of the sillier defenses of a poorly-thought-out feature that I've read on this forum, to be frank.
You can go in and just move them back down on the depth chart during the game you're using auto subs. You have a say.

Redshirted players are automatically moved to the bottom of the depth chart what are you even talking about?

In good faith, I have to assume that difficulty in implementing it the way it's been in almost every other football game where it's a tool you can use to make permanent changes in your dynasty/franchise menu that stick throughout the season must be the reason. However, the fact that the exact system is already in the game but only available while actually playing a game from the play call screen (at least make it available in the pause menu argh), does give me pause as to whether it actually would be difficult or if the issue is just more so that it's not viewed internally as a priority. Again, I tend to give the benefit of the doubt on these situations but I can't help but think it's odd.

He's saying AFTER you mass sub. If you are concerned about that sliding a redshirted player from off your depth chart (below the numbered slots) up into a position where they are now on the depth chart (they will still be below the actual "starting spots" on the depth chart in most cases), you can just quickly go through and swap them back down to one of the spots below the numbered slots to ensure they don't enter the game, either on special teams or if a player that's now in a starter spot gets tired, etc.

This sh*t ain't rocket science.

Or you know just pay attention to what you're doing.

The amount of crying on this forum is out of control.

"We want mass subs!" - gets mass subs - "It puts in our bench players it's broken!"

Careful what you wish for.
