Depth Chart Question

Does anyone know why so many of the teams have the Defensive Ends flipped on the Depth Chart and if it matters ?

I play as PSU in my dynasty and they have the listed RE as the LE on the Depth Chart and vice-versa. So Abdul Carter is listed as a Left End but he is being placed in the depth chart at Right End. Dennis Sutton is listed as a Right End but is on depth chart as Left End.

I've noticed it with other teams as well. If it doesn't matter they should just rid of Left and Right Designation and do it like the Defensive Tackles. I could see why it might matter if you want to match up somebody against a weaker blocker but other than that anyone have any insight on the designation here and if it matters. Also with the Defensive Tackles is the first one on the list on the left or right ?

I've noticed it, but not looked too much into it. I wonder if a particular archetype is preferred at either spot. For example, maybe it takes the two End starters and puts the Speed Rusher at LE?

I do wish EA would revamp their depth charts and modernize them so we get more modern terminology and get Strong and Weak side positions. I know some teams in the past have had Left and Right designations, but I believe the vast majority still go Strong and Weak side. I know there's a formation here or there in game that does flip the positioning based on Strong/Weak side, so they have a foundation for it in the game already.

I've noticed this as well. To me, it's a bug. It happens throughout the season, as well. Like when I have an injured player that is returning to the depth chart, it auto-reorders my depth chart and my LT/RT, LG/RG, LE/RE and LOLB/ROLB are all backwards. It happens every time.
