southern university jaguars
grambling state university tigers
jackson state tigers
florida a&m rattlers
hampton university pirates just to name a few

University of Alaska-Fairbanks Nanooks(Polar Bear mascot) school website
University of Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves don't know what a seawolve is. lol School website
University of Alaska-Southeast Mascot is a Humpback whale, but I don't think they have competitive sports.

none of them have an actual football team that I'm aware of.
