all this stuff about blocking and locomotion sounds great... but i havent read or heard anything about run commit in any of these interviews.... please tell me its gone and you actually have to call a run defense to stop the run this year....

This was in the IGN preview:

"TeamBuilder and the Gameplan settings, both of which debuted in last year's NCAA, are also making returns this season, though I wasn't shown exactly what kind of (if any) innovations have been implemented in either feature."

neither of those are run/pass commit.

however from the pre-snap menu, Defensive keys is still there i believe, but not sure if the run/pass commit is still a part of that or not.

My mistake, wasn't sure if they considered the run/pass commit one of their gameplan features or just it's own thing.

I hate all commit and gameplan features. How is that realistic?

Can you imagine the conversations that go along with each "agressive" and "conservative" setting... lol I HATE this feature. football is about situational play-calling... not flipping switches.

and what about the convos that go along with the commit features...

(run commit)head coach: "Hey, front seven... turn into a fireball and penetrate 10yds into the backfield in 1 second"
