Anyone know if it's still purely by rating? I was scrolling through all the teams, and the only teams from non-BCS conferences (MWC is BCS, BE is not. BE did not get Boise, SDSU, Houston) with players drafted were:

(This is 7 or so years into a dynasty, so all these players are purely ficticious)
Ohio: SS-6th Round
Cincinnati: QB-4th Round OLB-7th Round
UCONN: CB- 2nd Round
Louisville: LT- 5th Round
Memphis: DE- 5th ROund

Maybe this was just a flukey year? Anyone else notice this? Scrolling through the Pro Potential ratings, very few non-BCS teams have above a D-.

Also, would you consider it cheating to raise a player's overall right before the draft if he realistically would be drafted. At UNLV, my halfback is my entire offense and he has 1800 yards rushing with 14 TDs after Game 8. Overall wise, it seems unlikely he would be drafted, but with his stats he'd realistically be a 3rd-5th round pick, I feel.
When I ran my simulations, school and stats did not matter at all. There has been a patch since then that has apparently let defensive tackles be drafted, so that could be different now.

I wouldn't consider it cheating. I had considered doing the same thing myself.

Or maybe this is just really good at guessing at who's gunna be better in 5 years?

Is the original post still true for NCAA 14? And how do you guys expect those to translate to Madden 25?

I think Madden 25 will have set numbers per position for the draft classes to ensure enough players years into the game. I don't see draft position being the same. That would be pointless IMO. Maybe it will be the same forcing us to use the pre loaded classes with all the storylines. Don't round projections change in Madden? I have not used a draft class file since Madden 09 so I can't remember. I don't think the draft class in the game will be connected to the class in Madden other than players being left out due to size maybe.

Re: NFL Draft

Honestly, this seems like something I'd like to see adjusted (patch).

Because this controls which players make it into the draft, this will create problems.

5'9 receivers are uncommon, but none at all is bizarre. 5'9 HB's are pretty common - Trent Richardson is barely over 5'9 as a "prototypical back".

It appears to be the very same as last year.

As for how they translate to Madden 25, I have no clue. Ideally it would be the same as what we see here. But we'll have to wait and see.

Re: NFL Draft

Thanks for all of the hard work guys. This is all obviously important for the pro pitch, but as others have said, shorter smaller RBs and WRs (and CBs for that matter) do get drafted. Hope thats been fixed.

As for importing to Madden, I'll believe it when I see it. To years ago, when we were still supposed to be able to import, I never could. Madden SAID that it imported it, but it always gave me a generic class instead. (The year Luck and RG3 would have been part of the draft class).

Re: NFL Draft

In the past the school's mattered. Two identical players would have very different draft results depending on what school they came from.

Long story short, if a prospect comes from a elite program his draft odds are better
