    Varsity CPU vs. CPU sliders

I thought I would share these and get feedback. I'm playing with 2 teams on varsity Rice and Wyoming. Nearing the end of the 1st season. I approached this with a couple goals. Statistically I wanted play counts to be close to the Sim numbers. Now the Sim engine makes passing stats overpowered and running is too low. My stats are more online with what you'd expect in real life. More runs and more run yardage. Passing is very hit or miss depending on the QB, home or away, weather, receivers. Defense. The kind of variability you would expect on real life.

    Same for CPU and Human

    Varsity

    QB - 8
    Pass block - 32
    WR - 40
    Run Block - 55
    Fumbles - 22
    Reaction time - 95
    Int - 38
    Pass Cov - 95
    Tackling - 35

    FG power - 25
    FG Acc - 30
    Punt power - 60
    Punt Acc - 100
    Kickoff - 75

    Injuries - 55
    Fatigue - 74
    Speed Threshold - 25

12 min quarter, 12 sec accelerated clock

    Penalties
    Offside 70
    False Start 85
    Holding 53
    Face mask 85
    DPI 99
    Block in the back 55

I'm still experimenting with FGs not sure the power slider even works. On short FGs from a hash with a sharp angle I've seen the CPU miss alot of those but at the same time they are hitting a high percentage Tage of 50+ yard FGs.

Penalties are lower than the average. Be careful with holding. If you raise it they call holding on a high percentage of outside runs. To the point that those plays are not even worth calling. If you want more Penalties I recommend increasing false starts and offsides. You'll still get the occasional holding 1 or 2 a game, but it's not stupid high.

Run block was also an interesting one. I noticed outside zone getting stuffed everytime when I had it too low. I went into practice mode and played with it until outside zone would work. It also is not making inside zone overpowered but if you play a light box it goes as expected.

I'm having a blast with these

I've played 3 games with these sliders now and I'm really liking them! I've seen a bit of everything, which is refreshing. Big explosive plays on offense for both sides, and some really incredible defensive stops. I think you have a nice balance here

That's great to hear! Let me know if you notice any plays that simply will not work. I know there's a bug on HB screens so I'm hoping it gets patched. Another one that doesn't work is the reverse where the RB flips it to a WR running the opposite way. Reverses really only work when the defense over pursues. Unfortunately the AI is almost never overpursuing. The other problem is the WR is supposed to put on the jets to get to the perimeter. When the WR gets the ball he slows down like he's trying to figure out which way to go sometimes. I've never seen it work.

The only glaring problem that I'm having is my QB taking 5+ sacks every game. Last game against Clemson, they had 7 in the first half alone. When I was usering, this was also a problem even with slide/pass protection. I guess my OLine is really terrible!

What team are you using? How many pass attempts? Most of my games have been between mediocre teams. Haven't played an elite defense so the pass block might need to be increased.

Stanford. I'm now 1-4 to start this dynasty. But against #21 Clemson, we went 27/48 with 2 TD for 375 yards. Clemson threw for 213. Dominated everything but the run game (which was nonexistent because of the many sacks) and lost 34-17. Oddly enough, Clemson didn't record a single sack in the second half.

Still, I really like the feel of these sliders in general. There may need to be a few tweaks here and there, but I'm enjoying them.

I forgot to ask. Are you playing the offense or doing super Sim slow and watching?

From my own testing and past tests with Madden, cpu vs cpu you are better off leaving special teams at default. They effect offense and defense more then ST itself. Ive tested them enough to see differences in O and D while ST does not change.
Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players
                    CFB 25 The absolute GOAT!!!
MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.

Sim slow and simming to the end of the game, yes. Strictly CPU vs CPU. I had play tested this team for a few games with a couple of other slider sets and had sack problems as well, before starting a new dynasty using only these sliders.

You sliders are pretty good I wanted to test something so I used your sliders on Heisman and Shedeur Sanders threw a 86 yard bomb to Travis Hunter where he mossed 2 defenders and broke their tackle attempts and continued running to the end zone it was one of the best plays I've seen so far on this game

I too am testing Dynasty Varsity CPU vs CPU Sliders and from this spreadsheet I'm tracking things are progressing very well. I am trying to get the # of Plays to match closely to the 110 or so plays the Game's Sim Engine produces.

As you can see the Avg/Tm (Average per team) column is tracking nicely with the Real Life column ..... keep in mind the Real Life column is also Averages from Real Life # of plays thus the Avg/Tm numbers should relatively be a tad lower.

This spreadsheet is just my latest handful of games tested as I have tested > 60 games or so in total ..........
