Random question- does the playbook you use dictate the scheme? Like if I want to run the ball more, is the only way to do that in CPU v CPU to use a teams playbook that runs more?

From my experience it does dictate the scheme to a degree ......... how the game is going has a big impact as well ....... If a team is behind huge they will pass more often and if leading by a great deal they will run more as it is in real life ..........

Update- I did eventually find that you can adjust your HC scheme/mentality in the edit coach menu. Or at least adjust the play call aggression.

But update on the new year, after a slow start… we’re rolling again. Bad opening loss to Kansas. Followed up by a 8 point win vs FCS Midwest then a struggle vs South Florida. But have blown out a ranked Oklahoma, 4-2 Mississippi St, and just rocked Navy 56-6 since that start.
