With the old disc, my xbox suddenly has a problem playing the disk, saying it is dirty or damaged, yet it isnt. Everytime it changes the song, it locks up. I wish you could just turn off the music, and not have it load at all.

Davin

I had the same issue with my NCAA 2005, and the reason was the X-Box Thompson drive, not the game. Luckily I bought my X-Box at EB Games with the 2 year EB Games warranty, so they swapped it out and now I have the samsung drive (no problems). Just a heads up, because you very well could start seeing the dirty disc error more.

Unfortunately my 2 year EB extended warranty ran out 2 weeks ago. I'm currently on my 3rd Xbox. I've had this one for about a year and I get the slowdown while playing NCAA 2005.

I've heard that it may have been the HDTV Halo 2 Live fix.

No. That's not how the Live updates work.

Re: New NCAA05 Xbox Bundle Disc, Problems Fixed?

My X-Box has the Samsung drive ... bought a new one a year ago and gave my X-Box I bought when they were lanched to my little brother who mostly plays PS2 ... but wanted an X-Box for Halo and didn't want to spend the 'jack'.

Never had a problem with NCAA 2005 (got the game the day it was released).

Now my brother has slow-down problems with NCAA ... saw this first hand when I brought my game over to play with him once.

My cousin has slow-down issues too with NCAA ... he has a lanch X-Box as well.

Like I said, I don't ... so I think the problem is the 'drive', not the game.

how do I find out which drive my XBOX has?? If I have the Thomson one, and the new Samsung fixes the problems, I'm going to go trade it in ASAP!
