Re: Recruiting and Ratings

good post.

also, what about being able to offer more scholarships than are available... sort of "first come, first serve" kinda thing.... isnt that what they do in real life? if not, im sorry, just a bad assumption.

You're right. Many schools do that exact thing.

I probably am the only one, but do not want year round recruiting. I really don't care for recruiting, I just like playing the games. I would rather start my next season than spend an hour recruiting players. I like the way they have it now where at least I can get it over with once a season. Year round recruiting like in College Hoops is a big distraction away from playing the games to me. I would mind if they kept the recruiting model.

I have no problems with that.

Re: Anyone else tired of the recruiting engine?

I also would like someway where you could put two recruits side to side and compare...I find that many times I end up going back and forth a lot between two recruits to see who i want to offer...I think it would be nice to have some sort of table or something where you could compare to players.

How about senior season stats? I think it would be cool to have players that got hurt during their high school season...so they drop in all the ratings, but they might end up being diamonds in the rough or they could be duds.

Also, I would like a feature where you could contact the High School coach and get his comments about a certain player.

I think the In-season recruiting would also be a nice addition...recruiting is a part of the dynasty...if i just wanted to play games i could go into to exhibition mode. I would like to manage Un-official and official visits. Also how about summer camps where you can invite seniors-to-be to come to your camp and you can get more data on all of these guys...then throughout the season these numbers would change for good or worse. So you might offer a guy in the summer and he accepts, but all of a sudden he gets hurt or gets really out of shape or something, so you would have to live with him.

It is easy, but it is repetitive and can grate on your patience. I love recruiting, but changing pitches and points gets boring as Hell.
