seriously...people of all races and nationalities can go crazy with names sometimes...i just don't get it

Isn't the point of a name to distinguish you form everyone else? If everyone was named John Smith then that would defeat the purpose of giving anyone a name altogether.

I always love the threads about funny names that come up in recruiting on NCAA...

I remember an O.J. Simpson, and there's always a few with the same first and last names like Thomas Thomas or David David.

If you're famous it doesn't matter what your name is. Michael Jordan, Jim Brown. Hell they'll give you a nickname anyway if you're real good.

thats true but if you already have a bizzare name the nicknames come if your good or not

And if your name is I. Supreme and you make it through school not getting beat up a lot, you better hope you're great if you are an athlete. The media, fans, team mates will kill you if you're not.

People name their kids like pets now, not considering the day to day their children are going to have to go through the next 80 years.
