Re: New interview with NCAA development team

It's good to hear that players "will now coast into the endzone, start to slow down a bit, then jump right into the celebration." One of my pet peaves was that the players would abruptly stop as soon as the ball touched the goalline. This looked very weak. The player animation needed to continue into the endzone as his momentum carried him in. Sounds like they fixed or improved this.

Although, we pretty much new this... it's bad to hear that there are still no in-game saves. WTF. "Not this year, but is in consideration for future versions." This means that it is possible. I've read in other threads that said it was not possible due to the amount of teams, etc. Come on EA, why not put this feature in. For those of us that play 8+ min qtrs in order to get more realistic stats, it takes over an hour!

Also important to mention special teams, as we've had no info prior. Looks like some blocked kicks and punts are possible this year on the weaker kickers atleast.

Re: New interview with NCAA development team

I also like what they said about the play fatigue and game fatigue. Hopefully, this works as advertised.

What they've done to tweak the special teams, specifically punters sounds interesting [Quote: Also, we've made it so punters don't always get the ball off at the exact same time, every time. The worse the punter, the higher the chance for a possible delayed kick. That doesn't mean a bad kicker is going to get every punt blocked. A lot of things have to come into play for a block, but there are more of those 'almosts' as well as the 'it's blocked!']

It's little details like this that put authenticity into the game. Hopefully, this works as advertised too.

Re: New interview with NCAA development team

****.... damn you NCAA!

Kushmir:While the EA Sports Locker may be a Madden exclusive, NCAA players would certainly benefit from the ability to download the rosters of others Users on server-side save systems. The game ships without player names and this would be a great way to spread fully named rosters from coast to coast, is it feasible?

EA:This is not feasible as the NCAA would not allow us to possibly distribute roster files that could potentially contain named players.
